I voted today for the president

Today, I voted for the president (and vice president) of the United States. Carl and I both received our absentee ballots in the mail this week. He filled out his ballot and mailed it a couple of days ago. I had to be sure I mailed mine, too, so that I could cancel out his vote.

In fact, they sent me two ballots. I used one and threw the other one in the trash. Then I thought about how everyone around here feels they should be able to vote for the president of the U.S. - so I went and dug the second ballot out of the trash and ripped it into pieces. I don't think it's a good idea to have any extra ballots floating around this neighborhood. (Or I should spell it the British way, neighbourhood.)
