It is a common sight to see crowds gathering outside pubs -- especially on weekend nights. Many of those outsiders are the smokers, who are no longer allowed to smoke inside. But, there is also another group that spills over outside the pubs; these are sports fans who gather on days following special sports occasions. It could be soccer or cricket -- and you can usually tell which by the way the crowd dresses. The cricket crowd dresses up - with sports jackets and sometimes hats.
There is one pub in a nearby area, Marylebone, that often has a large crowd of yelling and cheering soccer fans outside. Those fans were there this Sunday afternoon, when Carl and I walked by. The guys were shouting cheers for the benefit of anyone walking by. I snapped these photos from across the four-lane main street. The idea of getting any closer is, frankly, not appealing to me.
