Carl and I and our family members have been running around all day, every day. Thank goodness, the weather is WONDERFUL!
It is almost a little too warm. It's so humid that when the sun does come out, it gets hot fast.
The underground is not air conditioned, and it is beginning to feel uncomfortably warm on a hot day.
They have started to make announcements on the tube to carry bottled water with you to prevent illness from the heat, and the temperature is only in the 80s outside.
On Thursday we went south to the shore at Brighton Beach!! (There is not one original name in North America - other than Indian names. All the others have come from here in London or somewhere in England.) Then we took a bus along the coast line to a town named Eastbourne. Lovely. At home again in the evening, we hung out at the pub.
On Friday we went to the Borough Market, then four of us went on the London Eye - a large ferris wheel that was put in place for the centennial. In the evening we went to the Royal Albert Hall for a London Philharmonic performance.
On Saturday we took a tour of the Cotswolds.
On Sunday, some of the family left for home and the rest of us had a quiet day, and then went to the movie (cinema) in the evening.
